Teaching materials

The museum offers teachers three in-depth texts free of charge. These texts are designed to introduce and expand upon the themes encountered during the guided tour in the classroom.

  • “Chioggia and the Giuseppe Olivi Museum of the University of Padua” is dedicated to the scientific and natural history of Chioggia, tracing the adventurous history of the collection and emphasizing its current value.
  • “Two Words on the Adriatic Sea” presents the different environments that characterize the Adriatic Sea and the organisms that inhabit them. It provides brief notes on the most peculiar and curious aspects of their biology.
  • “The Museum and the School” is an educational manual created to support teachers in facilitating and stimulating classroom understanding of the topics presented at the museum.

Teachers interested in the publications, which are available free of charge, can request the necessary form to obtain them from Museum staff: museoolivi@unipd.it – tel. 041/401774 (during museum opening hours).

The publications are donated to visiting institutions free of charge, in the hope that they will remain available to all faculty members over the years and will not be considered the property of the teacher who requests them.
